When will the campus completely reopen?

  • UCLA officials continue to closely monitor the progression of COVID-19 and adhere to guidance from local, state and national public health authorities. The campus will provide updates to the Bruin community on any new developments that would affect the campus or the status of campus operations.
  • On Jan. 11, 2021, UCLA announced that the spring quarter would be remote-only instruction with the exception of a limited number of in-person or hybrid courses necessary to train students for essential workforce positions.
  • UCLA leadership has developed a four-phase strategic plan for a potential resumption of normal campus operations at some point in the future, including a return to onsite instruction, living and working. This plan is outlined in our COVID-19 Back to School and Safer Return to On-Site Work During COVID-19 guides.
