In-person events are now permitted without capacity or physical distancing limitations but are subject to state, county and campus health and safety requirements. Current guidelines and protocols for in-person UCLA events are below.
UCLA football: Rose Bowl Stadium
All guests attending UCLA football games at the Rose Bowl Stadium, including children age 2 and up, are required to wear an appropriate face covering both when arriving at the venue and inside the stadium. Face masks can be removed only when attendees are actively eating or drinking.
While there is currently no requirement that attendees be vaccinated against COVID-19, public health officials strongly recommend that attendees get vaccinated or obtain a negative COVID-19 test prior to any Rose Bowl event. Individuals experiencing symptoms of COVID-19 and those under isolation or quarantine orders should not approach or enter the stadium.
Ticketing: In an effort to ensure the safety of fans on gameday, tickets and parking permits are now being distributed digitally. Guests are asked to access their tickets digitally and present them on a smartphone to enter the stadium. (If you are unable to access tickets on a smartphone, please log into your account and reissue your tickets via the print-at-home delivery option.)
Season ticket holders can access their tickets and parking through the UCLA Bruins app, which is available for free through the App Store of Google Play Store. All others purchasing tickets will receive at email from email@example.com containing a link to their tickets. Other athletic events and performances
Attendees at in-person UCLA events must adhere to current health and safety rules, including special protocols for indoor events with more than 1,000 attendees and outdoor events with more than 10,000. Performers and presenters at these events are not required to wear face masks while performing but must remain masked at all other times.
Indoor events: Face masks are required for all attendees at indoor events, whether they are vaccinated or not and regardless of the size of the event. From Sept. 20, 2021, forward, by order of the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health (PDF), all individuals at indoor events with 1,000 or more attendees will be required to show proof of a full COVID-19 vaccination or documentation of a negative COVID-19 test within the previous 72 hours.
Outdoor events: Face masks are required for all individuals at outdoor events with more than 10,000 attendees, except when they are actively eating or drinking. The Los Angeles County Department of Public Health recommends that operators of these mega-events also verify the vaccination or negative test status of attendees.
For all other outdoor events, face masks are not required, but it is strongly recommended that attendees — especially those who are unvaccinated — wear masks when they are in crowded settings and in sustained close contact with others whose vaccination status is not known.Campus Facilities and Services
