What guidance is UCLA providing on research safety?

Research personnel on campus must continue to comply with all mandates from the Centers for Disease Control, the Californian Department of Public Health, the Los Angeles County Department of Public Health and the California Division of Occupational Safety and Health (Cal/OSHA).

As a reminder, LACDPH has not relaxed its masking requirement, and Cal/OSHA continues to require masking and 6-foot physical distancing in all workplace areas at the present time. It is the responsibility of each PI to ensure that their activities are in compliance with these requirements and that they have articulated safety plans with all personnel on their team.

UCLA Environment, Health and Safety provides safety information for researchers, including guidance on physical distancing, updates on chemical safety, biosafety, high-containment lab operations, and radiation and laser safety.
