Will student employees be offered the vaccine sooner?

As of March 1, 2021, all undergraduate and graduate students who are employees of UCLA became eligible to receive the vaccine in California.

Because student employees, particularly those working on campus, fall into a higher-priority category than non-employee students, they are likely to be offered the vaccine through UCLA Health sooner.

However, with campus vaccine supplies limited, UCLA is encouraging student employees to get vaccinated at the earliest opportunity. At this time, the fastest option may be to book an appointment through California’s My Turn portal, which allows residents throughout the state to schedule a vaccination close to where they live.
