Restaurants and stores

Campus dining facilities and restaurants

Restaurants and dining halls on campus can now operate indoors and outdoors with no limits on seating capacity or physical distancing requirements. Masks are still required indoors except when actively eating or drinking. UCLA recommends that when dining outdoors in groups, individuals wear a mask except when actively consuming food or drink.

Note: Food and drink should not be consumed indoors on campus except in restaurants, dining facilities or catering venues — unless one is eating or drinking alone in a room. Exceptions can also be made for hydration or the medically necessary consumption of food or medications as appropriate.
